Dear Academic staff at IAMU member universities,
I am contacting you with a very warm invitation to join IMLA (International Maritime Lecturers Association) Conference, which this year will take place in Istanbul, Turkiye, hosted jointly by Istanbul Technical University (ITU) and Piri Reis University. This year all three of IMLA’s Special Interest Groups will come together to form IMLA29, namely International Conference for Engine Room Simulators (ICERS), International Maritime English Conference (IMEC) and International Navigation Simulator Lecturers Conference (INSLC). The conference dates are 25 – 28 September, 2024.
The deadline for submission of abstracts runs until 26 April 2024, so there is still plenty of time to participate! All information relating to the conference, including submission of abstracts, can be found at:

On behalf of IMLA, I would like to express our appreciation at having the chance to reach out to IAMU members, with whom I believe we have much in common. There should be something for everyone at IMLA29 and we very much look forward to sharing ideas, both academic and otherwise. Networking is key to our activities.
