On 18 February 2021, Professor Michael Manuel of the World Maritime University made a presentation on publication of the Body of Knowledge for a Global Maritime Professional (BoK-GMP) during the 7th session of the Sub-Committee on Human Element, Training and Watchkeeping (HTW 7).

Publication of the BoK-GMP is one of the outcomes of the IAMU’s Global Maritime Professional initiative, which has been conducted by a task force with three member universities:

  • Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport;
  • Satakunta University of Applied Sciences; and
  • World Maritime University.

In this context, Professor Manuel made his presentation on behalf of the task force members. IAMU also submitted an information paper on this publication to the HTW 7 (HTW 7/INF.5).
