The French Maritime Academy (ENSM) will host the 31st Conference of the International Maritime Lecturers Association (IMLA31) in Le Havre, from the 27th to the 30th of October 2026.

The IMLA is an international association bringing together teachers, trainers and researchers in maritime education worldwide. Its aim is to promote cooperation between stakeholders in maritime training, and it holds consultative NGO status with the International Maritime Organisation (IMO).

This year’s conference is themed “The Revised STCW and the Future of Maritime Education and Training, directly linked to the ongoing revision of the STCW Convention, a major issue for all stakeholders in maritime training and the industry.

The conference is open to academic and professional contributions, and participants are invited to submit an abstract of their work by 17 May.

It provides an opportunity to simply discuss this topic.
