The Executive Director had a chance to talk with Mr. YUAN Haichao (苑海超) at Dalian Maritime University, who is an awardee of the NF-IAMU GMP Faculty Fellowship in 2023.
He is a graduate of DMU and worked for the DMU’s training ship as a marine engineering instructor for a couple of years. His teaching experience in marine engineering department at DMU is more than 8 years. He is now engaging in the research on mechanisms of self-powered noise sensing for his Ph.D funded by this Fellowship pragramme.
The Secretariat trusts that he will soon be a powerful academic staff who educates and trains future GMPs through his knowledge, skills and experience he obtained through his onboard experience, teaching at DMU and research for his PhD.
