Renewal of the agreement on the IAMU section of the WMU Journal of Maritime Affairs has been signed by the new President of WMU, Max Mejia and the Chair of IAMU, Adam Weintrit, at IMO headquarters on 12 July 2023. This agreement is based on the proposal made by the President of WMU, Dr Björn Kjerfve, in the letter of 17 June 2013 to encourage academic staff at IAMU member universities to contribute quality academic papers on Maritime Education and Training to a peer-reviewed journal. This agreement will be for three years until 31 March 2026. The WMU and IAMU would work together to improve the quality of research in Maritime Education and Training.
