The Working Group on Collaboration with the South African International Maritime Institute (SAIMI) organized a webinar titled “Educational Program Development – Synchronizing National and GMP Requirements into the Curriculum.” The aim of the webinar was to introduce methods for integrating the GMP approach with national standards and to provide insights into effective strategies for aligning national and international standards.
The panel speeches were delivered by Prof. Gamal Ghalwash from AASTMT and Associate Professor Nino Kurshubadze from BSMA.
The webinar was attended by representatives from several South African universities, including Nelson Mandela University, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Durban University of Technology, University of Cape Town, and University of KwaZulu-Natal, with a total of 17 participants. This activity was conducted based on the MoU made between IAMU and SAIMI in 2022.
