The WMU Maritime Affairs Conference 2025 will take place from 26 to 28 August 2025 at the World Maritime University in Malmö, Sweden. The conference is jointly organized by WMU, the Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO), and the Korea Maritime Institute (KMI), with sponsorship from the Korean Register (KR).

This international event will bring together researchers, policymakers, and maritime professionals to explore key issues in the maritime sector, focusing on the twin themes of digitalization and decarbonization. Participants will engage in discussions on emerging technical, regulatory, and policy developments shaping the maritime industry, aiming to generate academic insight and practical recommendations for the future of global shipping.
