H.E. Mr. Arsenio Antonio Dominguez the Secretary General of the IMO visited the AASTMT on Monday 20 January 2025 at the AASTMT Abu-Kir Campus, Alexandria.
Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar – AASTMT President – welcomed him and they discussed the methods of the cooperation, which are always looking forward to new future prospects.
The visit included a tour to the AASTMT capabilities and educational facilities.
H.E. commended AASTMT professionalism, its modern facilities and learning environment, its high standards and dedication to offering outstanding MET programs in accordance with the demands of the Global Markets.
It is worth mentioning that H.E. launched a Regional Office of the IMO in Egypt by the cooperation with the Egyptian Authority for Maritime safety.
