The Working Group on Academic Publications met in Kobe, Japan on May 18-19, 2023. In attendance were Graham Benton (CSU Maritime), Boris Svilicic, (UR-FMS), Samrat Ghosh (AMC), Matthew Rooks, (KU-GSMS), Yusuke Mori (IAMU), and Shigemi Matsuzaki (IAMU). The primary purpose of this group is to ensure that research conducted under the auspices of IAMU related to maritime education and training is of a high caliber and is distributed widely across the world. Toward that end, members worked to refine the Conference Manual that is used for the International Program Committees, develop strategies for publicity via social network systems and the IAMU website, and ensure IAMU publications are regularly uploaded into scientific databases.
