On the morning of October 14, the opening ceremony of the Youth China- Global Sustainable Transport Talent Training Program was held in Beijing China. The program is co-organized by Shanghai Maritime University, Dalian Maritime University, Chang’an University, Southwest Jiaotong University and China Merchants Port Group. 80 international students from 34 countries participated the program.
Form October 14 to 16, the Second United Nations Global Sustainable Transport Conference was held in Beijing China. With the theme of Sustainable Transportation, Sustainable Development, the conference aimed to promote sustainable transportation development worldwide and help implement the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. To echo the objectives of the grand conference, the Transport Management Institute of China’s Ministry of Transport, China Merchants group, and universities featuring the specialization of transportation joined hands to build a platform for outstanding overseas students in China to study and discuss the sustainable development of transportation, with an aim to help them excel to be future talents in the transportation filed.
This training program has various contents and forms, including professional lectures, field study and cultural programs, to build a high-level international exchange and cooperation platform for the cultivation of sustainable transportation talents, the arrangement of forums, seminars and visiting will help the trainees better understand the development achievements and cultural connotation. It is also a good opportunity for international youth in transportation industry learn from each other and outlook the future of transportation.
