On 25 April 2024, the signing ceremony for the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding between IAMU and Maritime Industry Authority of the Philippines (MARINA) was held at the headquarters of MARINA in Manila, the Philippines. Professor Dr. Adam Weintrit, the Chair of IAMU and the Administrator Madam Sonia Malaluan are the signatories of the MoU and IAMU’s Executive Director, Takeshi Nakazawa participated in the ceremony on behalf of the Chair of IAMU.
Professors Zec and Zuskin who just completed the PAES site visit to the University of Antique on 23 and 24 April also joined the ceremony and made a brief report of the site visit to the Administrator and her staff. Both parties exchanged their views on collaborative activities in 2024 and the future.
