AMET University, Chennai, India, and the Dr. J. Ramachandran Maritime Foundation are organizing the AMET Global Maritime Awards (AGMA 2026) and the AMET Global Maritime Summit (AGMS 2026) on 2 July 2026, in commemoration of the birth anniversary of their Founder-Chancellor, Dr. J. Ramachandran.
This annual global initiative has evolved into a significant platform for maritime dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the recognition of excellence across the international maritime community.
Nominations are invited for the following categories under the AGMA 2026 framework:
- AMET Global Maritime Excellence Award 2026 – Maritime Excellence (Institution) Category
- AMET Global Maritime Leadership Award 2026 – Maritime Leadership (Individual) Category
These recognitions are intended to honour institutions demonstrating excellence in maritime education, research, innovation, and global engagement, as well as individuals who have made exemplary contributions to maritime leadership, professional practice, safety, sustainability, and industry development.

- Last date for submission of applications/nominations: 30 May 2026
- Assessment of applications by the Jury: 13 June 2026
- Notification of awardees: 15 June 2026
- Award Ceremony: 2 July 2026
The Awards will be distributed in the AMET Global Maritime Summit 2026 scheduled to be held on 2 July 2026 at Chennai, India.

The duly filled application/nomination forms in the prescribed format, along with supporting documents in PDF format, should be submitted via email to provost@ametuniv.ac.in on or before 30 May 2026.
