The Executive Director visited the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) in Manila on 7 July 2026 and held a meeting with the Administrator, Ms. Sonia Malaluan, and the Executive Director of the STCW Office, Mr. Samuel Batalla.
The objectives of the meeting were to develop a detailed plan for the Working Group activities for FY2026 and to exchange views on the future direction of the project. The participants also discussed ways to disseminate the achievements of the project to external stakeholders.
The outcomes of the meeting will be shared with Working Group members for further consideration and incorporated into the implementation of the forthcoming activities.
