On 22 September, the IAMU’s Executive Director took part in the opening ceremony of High-end Training on Maritime Education towards Greener Shipping jointly hosted by International Maritime Lecturers Association, Maritime Technology Cooperation Centre in Asia, and Shanghai Maritime University. He made a keynote lecture, titled “ Role of Educators at Maritime Universities in the Transitional Period in Shipping.” The IMO Secretary-General, Mr. Kitack Lim also joined in the afternoon session. In his speech, he appreciated IAMU’s contribution to the development of global network of maritime universities in the world.
