On May 27, 2026, within the framework of the working visit to Finland of the Ministry of Construction’ delegation led by Deputy Minister Nguyen Xuan Sang to attend the Finland – Vietnam Forum on Green and Smart Ports and Maritime Innovation, Mr. Tran Viet Ha, Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Construction, on behalf of Vietnam Maritime University (VMU), exchanged the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Prof. Jari Multisilta, President of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), Finland.
Overview of the working session
The event was witnessed by representative from Business Finland and H.E. Mrs. Pham Thi Thanh Binh, Ambassador of Vietnam to Finland, reflecting the shared interest in promoting education, research and innovation cooperation between Viet Nam and Finland.
The MoU focuses on joint academic programmes, faculty member and student exchange, research cooperation in maritime, logistics, technology and innovation. It is expected to open up new opportunities for VMU and SAMK to strengthen cooperation and contribute to high-quality human resource development in the maritime field.
