The Conference on a-Navigation (autonomous and remote ship navigation) is planned to take place online on 28 April 2021. The conference is organized by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, supported by International Maritime Organization in partnership with the Industry Association MARINET. BSAMI Chairperson Prof. Dr. Oral Erdoğan, Rector of Piri Reis University, would like to extend this conference invitation to IAMU members.
The conference is dedicated to the practical implementation of a-Navigation in the everyday maritime transport operation and possible international cooperation in this area. The following significant topics on the Conference’s agenda to be discussed in details:
• Maritime Autonomous Surface Ships (MASS) regulation recently adopted in Russia;
• Technical solutions available for the automatic and remote navigation;
• Further plans for the vast MASS trial operation starting from 2021.
The Conference will be open to all interested parties. Members are encouraged to invite their staff and respective stakeholders to the conference. All participants are required to register (free) before 26 April. The Conference link and program will be sent to registered participants.
