WG on Peer-Assisted Evaluation Scheme (PAES)

IAMU launched the Peer-assisted Evaluation Scheme (PAES) in 2014 to strengthen MET systems for future seafarers. Based on the project, IAMU signed MoUs with the Philippines (2016, PAES-P) and Kenya (2018, PAES-K).

This working group aims to:

  • Provide academic advice to strengthen MET curricula for seagoing officers and postgraduate programmes for shore-based personnel.
  • Organise workshops with IAMU member universities and MET institutions to improve teaching methods and subject content.
  • Share and validate outcomes of PAES activities with the parties involved.
