It is a great pleasure to invite you to the 11th edition of the International Maritime Science Conference – IMSC 2025, which will take place on 8-9 May 2025 in Split, Croatia.
This year’s conference is organized by the University of Split, Faculty of Maritime Studies (Split, Croatia), co-organized by the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Maritime Studies and Transport (Portorož, Slovenia) and other renowned institutions and supporting organizations.
We expect the support and participation of numerous institutions and companies from the shipping and related maritime sector. The aim of the conference is to bring together key stakeholders from the academic community and the shipping industry to discuss the current trends, challenges and long-term development of maritime transportation in an interdisciplinary manner.
The conference offers an academic program with presentations by international scientists divided into several sessions, as well as interesting panel discussions with speakers from business and politics. A novelty this year is the inclusion of the Student session, where undergraduate and master’s students will have the opportunity to present their ideas related to maritime sciences and the shipping industry under the guidance of their supervisors (abstract only).
Interested authors will have the opportunity to participate in the conference on-site or virtually (online), with an emphasis on networking opportunities. In addition, participation at the IMSC 2025 conference is possible by submitting a full paper, an abstract only or a poster presentation.
Prospective authors are invited to submit their abstract no later than 1 December 2024. Authors of selected papers will have the opportunity to submit their full papers to the supporting journal Transactions on Maritime Science (TOMS) and other journals from partner institutions, while the remaining papers will be published in the Book of Proceedings (and the accompanying Book of Abstracts).
