Maine Maritime Academy (MMA), a small, co-educational, public college on the coast of Maine, offers a world of opportunities. Practical training has been the hallmark of an MMA education since its founding in 1941.   • Rated among America's best colleges for our outstanding Engineering programs on 2005 U.S News & World Report.
  • MMA offers a new Auxilliary Sail concentration. With sufficient qualifying sea time under sail, and a sail addendum exam, licenses can be endorsed for Auxiliary Sail.
  • MMA welcomes largest entering class ever. Total enrollment meets strategic plan goal.
  • Marine Systems Engineering now has two tracks: the traditional 5-year Design/License track and the new 4-year Design track.
  • A $1 million upgrade of our deck simulation is complete. Three visual deck simulators and a new electronic navigation lab prepares our Marine Transportation and Small Vessel Operations students.
  • A 4 plus 1 Graduate Studies available to all Maine Maritime Academy graduates.
