Message from the Master of "Sail Training Ship"

Dear IAMU AGA8 Delegates,

It is a great honor and a pleasure for all of us to host one of the foremost events in the World Maritime Education and Training (MET) - the 8th Annual General Assembly (AGA8) of the International Association Maritime Universities (IAMU). In the last twelve months our Local Executive Committee (LEC) has tried to do all the necessary to make the IAMU AGA8 a bright and remarkable event in the World MET. We have invited to the Opening Ceremony of AGA8 such important persons as the Minister of the Education and Science of Ukraine and the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Ukraine. The list of dignitaries does not stop here. The Odesa region will be presented by the Governor of the Odesa region, the Head of the Odesa Regional Council, and the Odesa Mayor, participants from the organization of the world leading Shipping companies, a maritime administration, and maritime educational establishments have also confirmed their participation.

"One Earth - One CrewÓ is the Motto of the IAMU Cadets' program.
IAMU Students will enjoy the Cadets' Program arranged on board our sailing training ship ÒDRUZHBAÓ. We will try to organize our IAMU cadets from all corners of the world into Òone small international crewÓ. The time schedule of the AGA8 is very tight but we have prepared many interesting evening programs for delegates and students.

The Ladies' Program will offer your ladies a unique opportunity to visit many beautiful and interesting historic places of the Odesa region. We are sure that all the ladies will have a lot of unforgettable fond memories

We would like to inform all of you again that LEC has arranged the hotel reservation for all the delegates at four hotels in the historical centre of Odesa city. We will organize the transportation from Odesa Airport to Hotels for each and every participant. Once again, we would kindly ask those who have not yet sent correct flights details to do so as soon as possible for us to assure you smooth travels and comfortable stay.
