Texas A&M University at Galveston (TAMUG) seeks an Assistant Professor to teach in maritime finance. The appointee will also engage in high impact research.  This is a full time 9 month tenure track Assistant Professor Position.  The anticipated start date is the Fall 2018.  Texas A&M University at Galveston is the maritime branch of Texas A&M University.  The Department of Maritime Administration focuses on the business of shipping, port management and logistics.

Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in maritime Finance or a closely related field in maritime studies (waterborne commerce foreign and domestic).
The department is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Those with university teaching experience and a background in the maritime industry research are encouraged to apply.
